If the sky is bright and clear with lots of sunshine, your best place to laze away the day is Vondelpark. Mild weather is ideal for an al fresco meal in a pavement cafe or for a brisk walk across humpback bridges, along canals and narrow streets in Amsterdam’s historic centre. When it is a cold or rainy day, spend the morning shopping in Magna Plaza Shopping Centre and the afternoon in the Rijksmuseum. Never go on a canal cruise on a rainy day, you will not be able see any of the sights along the route because raindrops on the canal boat windows blurr the view.
