An open electric boat cruise is relaxing and the best way to make the most of your city trip to Amsterdam. This is holidaying at its best, no large crowd struggling to secure window seats as is often the case on regular boat trips. Captain Jack Canal Tour makes your trip a personal experience. This is the perfect outing for you and other tourists, you and your family, you and a small group of friends, you and your lover or just for you!
Captain Jack Canal Tour
Captain Jack Canal tour means seeing Amsterdam canals in an electric open boat. You will have unrestricted views from wherever you sit; this in contrast to the regular canal cruises where you sit in rows behind each other like in a bus. Sipping a cold drink and enjoying a Dutch snack, you can take in the beauty of Amsterdam. You will feel the wind through your hair and the sun on your face while you admire the gables and the splendid scroll work and ornamentation decorating the mansions. If the weather is rainy, the skipper will provide a canopy so that you will not get wet and your view not restricted.

Mansions and Canal Houses
A Captain Jack Canal Tour is an experience not to be missed! The most beautiful and coveted canal houses are along Herengracht. Some canal houses are owned by banks and companies that have their offices in these luxurious mansions, others have been converted into apartments. Many canal houses have double staircases leading up to the front door. There is often a small door on street level that gives access to the servants’ quarters. After your Captain Jack Canal Tour, you may like to see the inside of a canal house: are the rooms very big, what was the kitchen like, where was the master bedroom and where did the servants sleep? Visit the Willet-Holthuysen Museum for a glimpse of life in a canal house.
