Art Comes to Life

Art comes to life on the 17-meter high walls of the former 19th century gas factory in Westergas. Advanced technology, state-of-the-art projectors and accompanying music.

Westergasfabriek in Amsterdam

The Imperial Continental Gas Association built the Westergasfabriek in Amsterdam in 1885. The factory supplied gas for street lighting in Amsterdam, among other things. In 1967, the building was given a new purpose and was transformed into a cultural centre. Fabrique des Lumières has breathed new life into the location by transforming it into a digital art centre.

With approximately 3800m2 of projection surface, Fabrique des Lumières is the largest digital museum in the Netherlands. Approximately 100 video projectors and a spatial sound system are used for the exhibitions. In short, the perfect cocktail for an enchanting experience.
