Amstel Botel
Gently rolling waves rocking you to sleep, is this your secret dream? If so, Amstel Botel is your ideal accommodation in Amsterdam. A stay in Amstel Botel, a floating hotel, is affordable, comfortable and above all great fun: slumber on the rhythm of waves.
Amstel Botel
Amstel Botel is a large boat moored at the former NDSM shipyard in Amsterdam noord, the epicentre of Amsterdam’s cultural and artistic life. It takes about 30 minutes to get to or from the Amsterdam city centre and involves taking a free ferry at the rear entrance of Amsterdam Central Station.
The Guest Rooms
The 175 guest rooms of this 3-star hotel are surprisingly large. They have no porthole though, but a large window that looks across the IJ River or has a view of the former NDSM Wharf. Rooms are available as single, double, twin or treble rooms. All are equipped with cable TV, free WiFi, a desk, a chair and a small bathroom.
Botel Extras
The Botel bar serves snacks and cold drinks. When you get back in the evening and you haven’t eaten, there is only a limited choice of restaurants in the neighbourhood.
Restaurant Pollux (another ship), NSDM Pier. Opening hours: Wednesday to Friday from 16:00, Saturday and Sunday from 15:00. Orders are taken until 21:30.
CafĂ© and Restaurant IJ Kantine, NDSM-kade 5. Open from 09:00 – 23.00. Dutch and international cuisine.
