Amsterdam Shopping Streets

Amsterdam counts so many funny, quirky, large and tiny shops that one afternoon is by far not enough to do some serious shopping. The most famous Amsterdam shopping streets in the centre of the city are Kalverstraat, the Nine Streets, Leidsestraat and Haarlemmerstraat. Ample opening hours make shopping even more fun.

There is no doubt about it, P.C Hooftstraat (P.C is pronounced as pay say) is the poshest and most expensive shopping street in Amsterdam. This is the street to shop for Hermes scarves and Louis Vuitton bags. Van Baerlestraat and Beethovenstraat are more wallet-friendly and almost equally posh. In Kalverstraat you will find anything you need to survive from comfort food to shoes and souvenirs. Zeedijk is home to Amsterdam China Town with shops specializing in oriental products.
